The Missing Painting 

 “Hi, this is officer Frank from the police department.  I was going through some footage of the museum to find the thief of the missing painting.  I discovered your mother stole it.  However since your mother died, we thought you might know where your mother kept it."

I was in shock.  Then I answered calmly, “I am not sure where mom put it, but I can go and check around the house if you'd liked."  I went to look to for it.  I saw a yellow paper in my mom's room.  I gingerly picked up the remarkable paper and then the phone rang.

            “Emily finish your work and then you can go home,” said Mrs.G.  Emily was staying after school to finish her work.  It was late in the afternoon.  First she helped out the teachers with some work and then she had to finish her homework which was not done.  Emily’s school was quite old.  She is in grade 7.  “Mrs.G, I’m done my work.  Can I go now?”Mrs.G replied, “You may go now, but next time finish your homework.”  Emily walked out of the classroom and was heading towards the office.  She heard a strange noise coming from a room.  Right then the lock clicked and...
